Quitting is hard, and many people have tried to quit smoking many times before. Getting advice and support before and while quitting can help give you the best chance of succeeding.

About Quitline
- Quitline is a confidential telephone service that is dedicated to helping people who want to quit smoking.
- Many of the staff are young people. You can ask to speak to a female or male counsellor if you prefer.
Quitline counsellors will talk with you about your smoking and help you make a plan to quit.
They can work with you to help you understand why
you smoke and how you can resist and manage high-risk situations where
you’ll be tempted to light up. Quitline staff can also talk to you about
nicotine replacement therapy and other methods to help you quit.
Calling Quitline 13 QUIT (13 7848), 24 hours, seven days a week
from anywhere in Australia only costs the price of a local call.
(Calling from a mobile phone will cost more.)
